Description
Ozark Guidance is searching for candidates to fill a Behavior Intervention Specialist position in our Foster Care Services program.  This position will be working with children and families within the foster care system in Northwest Arkansas.  

A high school diploma or GED is required. This position also requires one of the following:1) A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or a related field  OR   2) Two years of direct client care experience with children and/or adults in a mental health or behavioral health setting.

The candidate should have good computer skills, good leadership skills, the ability to organize and prioritize, and be patient, consistent, and flexible, and must be able to work in a team setting and work independently.  The candidate must also have knowledge of community agencies, particularly DCFS, and schools, the juvenile court system, and community resources.  Reliable transportation is a must, as travel within Northwest Arkansas is required.

At least one year of experience working with children is preferred.  The ability to work with emotionally and behaviorally challenged children and youth is required.  Work hours: Full time, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  No phone calls please.
