Description
Ozark Guidance is searching for candidates to fill a Behavior Intervention Specialist position. Ozark Guidance is a private local, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities accredited, non-profit community mental health center. We are committed to meeting the needs of the individual, family, and community for better mental health in Northwest Arkansas. Since 1970, Ozark Guidance has helped tens of thousands of children, adults, and families in Washington, Benton, Madison, and Carroll Counties live better lives by providing high quality, affordable mental healthcare services.

A high school diploma or GED is required. This position also requires one of the following:1) A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or A related field  OR   2) Two years of direct client care experience with children and/or adults in a mental health or behavioral health setting.

This position is in our Recovery Services department.  This position will be providing addiction education and support to adults in the office, jail/court, and community settings. Reliable transportation is necessary, as travel within Northwest Arkansas will be required.  Lived experience is preferred.

The candidate should have good computer skills, good leadership skills, the ability to organize and prioritize, and be patient, consistent, and flexible, and must be able to work in a team setting and work independently.  Work hours: Full time, Varied hours Monday - Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.  No phone calls please.
