Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic Mental Health Professional with experience providing services in a Behavioral Health organization or with experience with a community mental health or healthcare organization. Candidates must show a strong employment history with progressive growth throughout their career.

This position will provide Co-occurring Mental Health and Substance Abuse counseling for youth in an outpatient and/or school-based setting.  Some evening hours may be required.  Previous experience with substance abuse counseling is preferred.  Some travel to schools within Washington County will be required.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities (Scope of Practice):

  • Interview/assess clients for mental health and substance abuse needs and perform individual, family conjoint and group therapy services
  • Document, review, and maintain accurate case records and relevant clinical information
  • Provide counseling and appraisal services to individuals or groups designed to develop an understanding of personal problems, to define goals, to plan activities to assess an individual’s aptitudes, attitudes, abilities, achievements, interests, and personal characteristics as these are related to personal social concerns, and educational progress

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work
  • Current Arkansas license (LAC, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to multitask
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a treatment team
